Farben fur den Winter
Gerryland Records (Germany) 1987
777 (LP)
sleeve : EX+(light collapse on one corner.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)
The only album released by Heilmut Semmeldroll, an extremely obscure folk group from Würzburg, Germany, who collaborated with modern Christian music singer-songwriter Siegfried Fietz in 1981. While the album primarily showcases pastoral folk music performed by an ensemble of guitar, mandolin, saxophone, double bass, and percussion, it also features an intriguing sense of eclecticism characteristic of obscure German musicians. Notable examples include track A5, which is influenced by Indian music; track B1, which takes a crossover approach; and track B2, which evokes the Hawaiian grooves of artists like Mackey Feary and Kalapana.
A5: Ravi Shankar Reitet Zur Ponderosa
B1: Kronach
B2: Don't Cry Behind The Moon
