This album was released in 1977 by Aki Takahashi, a pianist who has worked extensively as a contemporary musician. Her brother is Yuji Takahashi, one of Japan's leading contemporary musicians. The album, a solo performance on acoustic piano, features music by composers such as Ianis Xenakis, Toru Takemitsu and John Cage, as well as music by Erik Satie and Debussy. Her performance of Satie's "Gnossiennes" No.1 to No.6 (B1 to B6) is excellent, but Toru Takemitsu's "For Away" (A2), John Cage's "Valentine Out of Season" (A3) and "A Room" (A4) and "Music for Marcel" (A5) are very interesting.
A2: For Away
A3: Valentine Out of Season
A4: A Room
