This is the 1983 debut solo album by French singer Annick Nozati, who is known for her collaborations with avant-garde jazz musicians such as Fred Van Hove and Johannes Bauer, as well as her work as an actress in avant-garde theater. In addition to creating masterpieces through collaborations with avant-garde jazz musicians, Nozati showcases her operatic singing style and unique vocal techniques on this album. The entire work features intense vocal improvisations, creating a peculiar masterpiece. Her collaboration with Pierre Favre sets her apart with a distinctive artistic vision, different from the works of Tamia and Meredith Monk recorded on ECM and T Records. Highly recommended.
