This was featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound. Composers Francisco Semprun, born in Spain and based in Paris, and Michel Christodoulides, born in Greece, created this release, the debut contemporary work from the library label Unidisc. It's a standout in the series and often regarded as a masterpiece. Track A1 features rising and falling drone sounds layered with wet, rhythmic percussion, sound effects with a water-like texture, and voice samples moving across the stereo field. Track B1 creates a mysterious atmosphere with the solemn resonance of an effected organ and the metallic sound of vibraphones. From avant-garde to meditative textures, the entire album delivers an imaginative soundscape filled with rich, immersive layers. This is truly something special.
A1: Puits sans fin
B1: Plaines
