The third album released in 1977 by the performing arts group Geinoh Yamashirogumi, a world-class Japanese multi-performance community centred on Shoji Yamashiro, who has been active since the 1960s, and whose design is to seek out and verify the original lifestyle of mankind as promised by DNA, as a base for criticism of civilisation. As in previous albums, the album was produced by Nakamura Touyou, a music critic and an authority on world music in Japan. The theme of this album is traditional Japanese music, with original compositions incorporating the Miyagi folk song 'Karihagiri Uta', Buddhist shomyo (Buddhist chanting) and kouta (short songs). Particularly noteworthy are A3, which introduces synthesisers by Katsuo Ohno, and B3, which features jazz/rock musicians such as Naoya Matsuoka and Minoru Ishikawa, and is oriental psychedelia.
