This is a 1982 release by Atrium Musicae, an ancient music ensemble founded in Madrid in 1964 by Gregorio Paniagua, an ancient musician from Madrid, Spain, and a leading researcher of ancient music. Gregorio is the father of Luis Paniagua, who is one of the leading figures of the Spanish contemporary/new age scene, who brought Arab and Mediterranean classical music into the contemporary music scene, and is a great musician who revived ancient Greek music and other ancient music in the modern age. This album also features Luis Paniagua and Eduardo, who has participated in Luis's solo works and Babia. While based on the ancient music of medieval Spain, this is no mere classic. It is a wonderful work that creates exotic ethnic music, making use of various ethnic instruments. Super vinyl sound quality is also excellent.
