This is a collection of works by German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen and Argentine composer Mauricio Kagel, released in 1961 from the <Series 2000> of Time Records, a label founded in California in the late 1950s. album. Zyklus" (A1) by Stockhausen is music for one percussionist, with a score composed with the formal concept of "transition" (temporal). Christoph Caskel performed with a variety of eastern and western percussion instruments. Refrain" (A2), also by Stockhausen, is music for three players who play the circularly curved score in different ways according to their own understanding. "Transicion II" (B1) by Kagel is an electronic music piece for piano, percussion, and two tapes, with David Tudor as performer.
