Composers Recordings Inc. (US) 1975

sleeve : EX-(SPSE: 3cm  slightly crack, light dirts on back.)
media : EX/EX(some light surface noises.)

This album was released in 1975 from the <American Contemoprary> series of CRI, a contemporary music label in New York, USA. Side A features a composition by Robert Morris, a British composer who taught at the University of Pittsburgh and directed the Yale Electronic Music Studio, on the theme of the intersection of two pianos played by Morris and William Albright. The B-side, composed by modernist Curtis O.B. Curtis-Smith, a pioneer of the prepared piano technique, features Curtis-Smith's piano and Gerald Fischbach's violin plucking strings and making noise-like passages. It is, as the title suggests, a discovery of sounds that ring out loudly, almost like electronic music.

A: Robert Morris “Phases”
B: Curtis O.B. Curtis-Smith “Five Sonorus Inventions”
