A masterpiece album released in 1983 by Japanese percussionist Toshiyuki Tsuchitori, who has collaborated with various artists across genres such as Milford Graves, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Toshinori Kondo, and Kaoru Abe. Tsuchitori is deeply knowledgeable about ancient music as well. The album features a grand design that evokes immense romanticism by restoring bronze bells known as "dōtaku," believed to have been used during the Yayoi period, and attempting to perform them. Additionally, bronze drums and flutes from the same period were also restored, creating ensemble pieces with the dōtaku. The primal rhythms and overtones emitted by these instruments deeply resonate with the listener's DNA, evoking a sense of minimalism and showcasing their transcendence into contemporary music. This album, along with the next release "Sanukaito," stands as a historical masterpiece. Please note that the insert is missing.
