Sound Aspects Records (Germany) 1988
SAS 019 (LP)
sleeve : EX-(SRW, slightly wear and collapse on corner, small and slightly dirt.)
media : EX-/EX-(some light noises. B1 has slightly wear.)
The album was released in 1988, and features a collection of artists including Wayne Horviz, Butch Morris, Robert Previte, Doug Wieselman and Bill Frisell, with a score by American singer/songwriter/pianist Robin Holcomb, who is also Horvitz's wife. A1, which draws on Yamaha DX-7s and noise to create a unique ambience, A4, which creates a mysterious world with its somewhat Chinese phrases and melancholic synthesiser sounds, and other tracks that express Holcomb's imaginative compositions in a more cutting-edge orientation. Highly recommended for all tracks, even if you like ECM.
A1: Adagio
A4: The Road to Zamora
