佐藤様専用　Magnus Granberg “Come Down to Earth Where Sorrow Dwelleth” CD

A 2020 album by Stockholm, Sweden-based composer Magnus Granberg, who works between contemporary chamber music and improvisation, featuring a piece recorded in Japan during a visit to Japan in 2019. The album feature Granberg's prepared piano, sho player Ko Ishikawa, who recently performed on ORGANIC MUSIC LIVE 2 as his unit Aurora Argentea with vocalist Nami Hotatsu, koto player Miki Maruta, who also performs with Terry Riley, and audio mixer feedback player Toshimaru Nakamura, who plays feedback through an audio mixer. Originally composed for the Boston-based experimental music ensemble Ordinary Affects, the piece was revised for shō, koto, prepared piano, and electronics for the Japan tour. One improvisation of over 52 minutes is included. The feedback sound generated by the unusual wiring of the mixer, called "no-input mixing board," is particularly impressive. It is very interesting.
