Sexy T.K.O. is a project by Toshio Nakanishi, who started out as a member of the new wave band Plastics, in which Hajime Tachibana and Masahide Sakuma were members, and continued to be active in a wide range of fields including Melon, Love T.K.O., and Skylub. This is the 1997 reissue of the masterpiece 12" single released in 1989 by Sexy T.K.O., a project by Toshio Nakanishi, who regrettably passed away in February of this year, and Masayuki Kudo, aka K.U.D.O., who was also a core member of Mejor Force. This is a cover of a classic song released by soul singer Ester Byrde in 1975. The urban sense and mellow arrangement of the lovers' tune B1/B2 are just great. Japanese club classics of the early 90's were hard to play prematurely, but they are gradually making a comeback in the last few years.
