The album contains three works by Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, one of Germany's leading composers, recorded by Harald Boje and Peter Eotvos at Abbey Road Studios in London in 1971. Spiral" is a work originally composed in 1968 and recorded by Harald Boje and Peter Eotvos at Abbey Road Studios in London in 1971, using a special sound transmitter called an electronium. Japan" on A2 is a work Stockhausen himself calls a "textual composition," in which he plays not by improvisation but by intuition, using texts and scores as a guide. The B-side, "Polar," was performed using shortwave receivers and electrochords in addition to electronium, and like "Spiral," it is a work in the "momento form. Put aside all the complicated details and enjoy the shower of electronic sounds.
A1: Spiral (Electromium version)
B1: Pole
