It is performed by the Lu-sheng Ensemble, a group formed to introduce to the world the charm of the many masterpieces from the Shandong region, where there are many instrumental pieces. The album contains many solo and ensemble performances of various instruments, such as the huqiao, a vertical flute, and a wind instrument that sounds like a chalmera.
