This is the second volume of Tibetan Buddhist music released in 1976 as part of the Silk Road Series of Nonesuch's renowned American folk music/field recording series <Exprolorer Series>. The entire recording features chanting of the tantric sutra "Sangwa Dopa Tantra" by practitioners of Gyutso Tantric College, the highest tantric institute of the Geluk school of Tibetan Buddhism. The meditative sound is endlessly and profoundly resonant with long-toned chanting like a drone while low-pitched voices in various frequency bands emit overtones. Especially side B is a complete drone. It is very interesting.
