Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, one of the leading santoorists of North Indian classical Hindustani music, has been active since the 1960s and has released over 100 works. Hariprasad Chaurasia, another highly acclaimed bansuri player who plays in the classical style. This album is the collaborated performance works by them. Accompanied by the tabla player Pandit Kashinath Mishra and the tambura player Mrs. Anuradha Chaurasia, the album is a gentle meditative world of floating Santur's fine and resonant melodies and the slightly withered tones of the bansuri. The tension rises in the second half on both sides. It's just a wonderful performance.
