An album released in 1980 by Michiko Akao, a transverse flute player who has been active in various fields beyond classical music since the early 1970s. The album features her own compositions and arrangements, covers of folk songs, and jazz-arranged pieces by jazz pianist Norio Maeda. With shinobue, ryuteki, and nohkan as lead instruments, the tracks arranged by Norio Maeda also feature Norio's piano/electric piano, Yasuo Arakawa (b), Tadayuki Harada (b-cn), Larry Sunaga (per), and Minoru Ishiyama (per), showcasing spiritual ethnic jazz that fully utilizes Japanese sensibilities. Akao's transverse flute solos and ensembles with koto and wadaiko are also superb.
