This album was released in 1973 by Japanese percussionist Sutomu Yamash'ta, who has made a name for himself in the field of classical and contemporary music since the late 1960s, and has since gone on to create a number of masterpieces that cross genres from rock to crossover, electronic music, and new age. Yamash'ta himself was in charge of all aspects of the project, from conception to music and choreography, and produced it for a performance by the Red Buddha Theatre, a Japanese avant-garde dance group.
