A leader album released in 1959 by the American reed player Bob Cooper, who had been a part of Stan Kenton's orchestra since the mid-1940s and later contributed to groups led by Shelly Manne and Howard Rumsey from the 1950s onwards. The album features Hans Hammerschmid (piano), Pim Jacobs (piano), Rolf Hansen (bass), Ruud Jacobs (bass), Viktor Plasil (drums), and Wessel Ilcken (drums), with recordings made in Italy, Milan, and the Netherlands, Koog aan de Zaan, in 1957. Tracks like A2 infuse a silky rendition of standard jazz numbers with a somewhat Oriental atmosphere, while B4 presents a highly enjoyable performance with a melancholic oboe melody, famously associated with Marilyn Monroe's singing. Throughout the album, the performances unfold with a tension suitable for what could be termed as cool jazz. This is likely a reissue Italian pressing from the late 1980s to early 1990s.
