This is an album released in 1973 by Canadian pianist Gil Evans, who was one arm of Miles Davis' orchestra in the old days and later led his own group to fame as one of the leading jazz orchestras. This is a recording session at Trinity Charch and Philharmonic Hall in New York City. Hannibal Marvin Peterson (tp), Billy Harper (ts,ft), Dave Sanborn (as), Bruce Ditmas (ds), and a total of 15 other musicians. It's Evans' quintessential jazz orchestral work, including Cosmic Soul Jazz A1 composed by Billy Harper, with David Horowitz's synthesizers and Joseph Daley's tuba dancing like mad. No obi and insert.
