An album released in 1975 by American saxophonist Houston Person, who began his career in the 1960s with groups such as Johnny “Hammond” Smith’s and went on to thrive not only in jazz but also across a wide range of Black music genres including soul, funk, and disco. The participating members are uncredited, with the exception of track B5, which features vocals by Etta Jones. From covers of classic R&B/soul songs to original compositions by Person, this is a masterpiece that showcases soulful jazz-funk with a disco feel, much like his album Get Out’a My Way! released the same year on Westbound.
