A group formed by four musicians who were part of Mongo Santamaria's band, Jasmine released their only album in 1979. This is believed to be a different group from the Jasmine that released their sole album in 1981 featuring Cassandra Wilson under Inner City. However, both bands showcase tropical breeze-like crossover fusion filled with Latin vibes, and both are truly outstanding. Highlights include the urban mellow fusion track A3, where female singer Carmen Lundy's husky voice is irresistibly captivating, and the exquisite contemporary Latin jazz track B3, offering a delightful sense of light, airy floatiness.
A3: Angelica
B3: Tell Me When
