Released in 1979, this is the first leader album by jazz bassist Katsuo Kuninaka, who is based in his native Miyakojima Island, Okinawa, and whose excellent performances in the early 1980s were featured on works such as Yosuke Yamashita's 'a Tribute to Mal Waldron' and 'Jugemu' and Masahiko Togashi's 'Three Masters'. Produced by Yosuke Yamashita. Side A features a quartet with Yamashita, Kazunori Takeda and Shota Koyama, while side B features Akira Sakata, Yasuaki Shimizu, Shigeharu Mukai, Tadanori Konagawa and Ryojiro Furusawa on each of the three tracks. Incandescent A3, the tropical-feeling, Afro-Caribbean-tinged B2, all six tracks are very nice. B3, which begins with Kuninaka's bass solo and leads into Akira Sakata's score, which has a very pleasant, cheerful atmosphere.
