This album was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. Released in 1985, it is a masterpiece solo album by Liliana Vitale, the sister of Argentine composer and keyboardist Lito Vitale—known for his work in the progressive rock band M.I.A. as well as his exceptional solo works spanning from New Age electronics to contemporary jazz. Liliana, a flutist and percussionist, was also a member of M.I.A. The album features an impressive lineup of musicians, including Lito Vitale, Bernardo Baraj, and Alberto Muñoz, who deliver outstanding performances. Liliana takes on vocals and piano, beautifully interpreting compositions infused with tango and folk elements crafted by Alberto Muñoz. The result is a stunning expression of Argentine contemporary jazz rich in folk sentiment. This album is highly recommended for fans of overlooked Argentine songstresses like Gabriel, as well as those who appreciate the European jazz aesthetic of ECM. A must-listen.
