Album released in 1964 by the New York Contemporary 5, a group led by Don Cherry, Archie Shepp and John Tchicai and featuring J.C. Moses and Don Moore, who were exploring new forms of jazz in New York in the early 1960s. This is volume Two of live at Jazzhus Montmartre, Copenhagen, Denmark. The album features 27-year-old Cherry's energetic improvisation on A1, Cherry's impressive phrasing after the theme on A2, which is very ear-catching, and the exotic B2, composed by Bill Dixson. Please also see together with Vol. 1.
