Released in 1980, this live album is by Sail-Joia, a Dutch group centered around Portuguese singer/guitarist Fernando Lameirinhas, who also left behind the excellent Ride The Night under the name Fernando’s Ginga, featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound. Aside from A3, taken from their second album Maré Alta from 1978, also covered in the same guidebook, and B1 from their 1977 debut Sail-Joia, all of the tracks performed here are otherwise unreleased on their studio albums. It is a lively live recording that incorporates elements of reggae, Caribbean music, rock, and more, while maintaining a consistently tropical groove throughout.
B1: Think I’ll Never Touch The Ground
