This is a powerful live recording from 1980 at the Detmold Music Academy in Germany by Electric Circus, led by German guitarist Toto Blanke—known for his work with Association P.C. and collaborations with Jasper Van't Hof. Featuring Stu Goldberg on keyboards and Trilok Gurtu on percussion, the album delivers a deeply psychedelic electric jazz-rock experience throughout. On A2, earthy percussion and spiritual drum rhythms lay the foundation for ultra-spacey keyboards and electric guitar to construct a richly dimensional sonic landscape. B1 features Toto Blanke’s razor-sharp, trippy electric guitar solo intertwining in a swirling vortex with Heinrich Hock’s thunderous drumming. A truly intense and immersive work of psychedelic electric jazz-rock.
