The second solo album by John Greaves, bassist of Henry Cow, released in 1982, following his acclaimed collaboration with Peter Blegvad on Kew. Rhone. in 1977. Recorded in Paris, the album features numerous French musicians, including Yoshk’o Seffer, Dominique Guiot, and Jean-Luc Fauvel. The work delivers art rock/AOR filled with experimental elements, evoking a sense of dandyism reminiscent of Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music and 1980s David Bowie. Highlights include A3, where female vocals blend seamlessly with electronics; B1, with its bright percussion and colorful digital synths that create a pleasant tropical vibe; and B2, an atmospheric experimental tune with a decadent touch.
