The Advanced Cookbook of Mr S and K “Niemand Tanzt”

The latest release from Sound Metaphors, a record store in Berlin, Germany, has just arrived. The Advanced Cookbook of Mr S and K, a project by Mr. Selig and Kanzler Z that was active from the late 1980s to the early 1990s and released only two albums. This is an authorized reissue of a 12" single cut from two songs from their first album, Niemand Tanzt, released in 1989. The A-side is a cartoony sound with metallic electronic sampling and machine rhythms. Side B is even worse, with the same edgy sound of metallic electronics and low-beat machine drums as side A, but with a melancholic, more melancholic sound. Like the A-side, the sound is edgy with metallic electronics and low-beat machine drums, and the obscure dance tune depicts melancholic darkness. The percussion and distorted electric guitar in the latter half of the song is also very cool. Highly recommended.
