The group arcehus was formed by Keiko Higuchi (vocals), Shizuo Uchida (bass), and Tomo (hurdy gurdy). The group's unique trio of vocalist/voice, bassist, and hurdy gurdy creates a variety of chemical reactions, including delicate flickers of sound that evoke a sense of silence and pause, the vocalization of forgotten, nameless languages, dissonant interplay of sound clusters, the magic of minimal repetition, and dark, dense drones. It is a chemical reaction of various expressions. He also attempts to improvise with text readings, as if the words that have acquired resonance appear as spirits and dissolve with the sound. This is a striking debut work, recorded in the studio, with instantaneous performances bare. Includes 4 tracks of studio improvisation, download code included. A CD version with the same content and a different jacket design will be released in February.
