This album was released in 1969 by Archie Shepp, an American saxophonist who has made his presence felt on numerous sessions, including collaborations with John Coltrane and Cecil Taylor, and has left many masterpieces with a strong African orientation. (tb), Donald Garrett (b), Lewis Worrell (b), Beaver Harris (ds). Both sides of the album feature long songs of over 17 and 15 minutes respectively. The performance is very powerful and intense, with a lot of raging improvisations. Try it out and see what you can find in this flood-like vortex of sound. This is a UK reissue probably released in ‘80s.
