Bright Orange was a Swiss group active for a short time in the early 1980s, and this is the only album they released, in 1983. Although it came out on Innovative Communication, the label founded by Klaus Schulze, the style leans more toward the pop-oriented crossover/jazz-funk sound that was starting to gain popularity at the time, reminiscent of acts like Shakatak and Spyro Gyra. The album features several standout tracks, including mellow breeze tunes like A3 and B2, where the refreshing production is beautifully complemented by female vocals and harmonies, as well as the urban mellow R&B cut B5, with its laid-back floating beat. A high-quality release well worth checking out.
A3: Relay
B2: One Step Back
