Cecil Taylor, an American jazz pianist with a background in contemporary and classical music by Bartok and Stockhausen, but who also pursued an extremely physical expression, released an album in 1985 under the name Cecil Taylor Segments II. The album is a free jazz work with intricately layered rhythms and improvisations, and features a jazz orchestra of 11 members, including Enrico Rava, Tomasz Stanko, Frank Wright, John Tchicai, Gunter Hampel, Rashied Bakr, and others. It is a free jazz piece with intricately layered rhythms and improvisations, and you can feel a return to an African worldview throughout the piece. The best of all is B1, which is filled with a very primitive and lively atmosphere.
