Led by German pianist Gotz Tangerding, who also performed under the alias Bakti Jazz, this piano trio album was released in 1982, featuring bassist Christian Stock and drummer Rudi Roth. It was released on the private label Bhakti-Records. While Tangerding released a duo album with Roth on the same label in 1985, this album seems to be the only one featuring the trio formation. The album unfolds elegant jazz compositions with Tangerding's bright touch on the acoustic piano taking the lead. Tracks like A3 feature flowing basslines intertwined with delicate yet swinging drums, complemented by the lustrous tones of the Fender Rhodes, while B1 paints a beautiful landscape with its dynamic development. The essential spiritual jazz essence captured in this album is truly remarkable. Highly recommended.
