A solo album recorded in Brazil in 1981 by Jon Hiseman, the drummer known for his participation in progressive rock groups such as Colosseum and Tempest. The album features an impressive lineup of renowned musicians from Brazil's MPB and jazz scenes, including Lincon Olivetti, Marcio Montarroyos, Sergio Dias, and Leo Gandelman. Released by the German label Kuckuck, which is known for its extensive catalog of New Age and meditation works, the album surprisingly diverges from those genres as well as progressive rock. Instead, it delivers a light, refreshing Brazilian crossover jazz-rock sound with a mellow Balearic feel, especially notable in the sublime track A2. With horn sections, percussion, and keyboards woven throughout, the album exudes a delightful light fusion vibe from start to finish. While it remains a relatively obscure gem, it’s a highly recommended listen for its outstanding quality.
