This album was recorded by a sextet consisting of Herbie Mann (flute), Charlie Rouse (tenor saxophone), Kenny Burrell (guitar), Mal Waldron (piano), George Joyner (bass), and Arthur Taylor (drums) and released on Prestige's New Jazz label in 1958. It features the soulful interplay between Mann's flute and Rouse's tenor saxophone on A1, Burrell's funky guitar shining on A3, and the impressive gentle melody of the flute on the gospel number B1, among others, making it a nice session album unfolded in a relaxed atmosphere. The calypso track included at the end of the album is also lovely. This is a reissue from the <Wave Jazz Classics> series released domestically in 1990.
A1: Minor Groove
B1: Gospel Truth
