This is the debut album released in 1982 by American pianist Steve Dobrogosz, who, after thriving in a wide range of genres including jazz, pop, and classical since the mid-1970s, relocated to Stockholm, Sweden in 1978. Collaborating with jazz singers Radika Toneff, Berit Andersson, and Pia Raug, Dobrogosz unveiled this masterpiece in a duo setting with percussionist Petur Ostlund. The album showcases a highly imaginative and lyrical piano performance transcending jazz, accompanied by the resonant sounds of gongs and cymbals. A hidden gem that will appeal to fans of Paul Bley. Highly recommended.Steve DobrogoszConfessionsProphone (Sweden) 1982PROP 9901 (LP)sleeve : VG+(SRW, SPSE: 7cm crack on bottom, wear on edge and corner, damage on one corner.)media : EX-/EX-(some light noises caused by slightly hairlines.)This is the debut album released in 1982 by American pianist Steve Dobrogosz, who, after thriving in a wide range of genres including jazz, pop, and classical since the mid-1970s, relocated to Stockholm, Sweden in 1978.
