This is an album released in 1986 by Japanese pianist Takashi Kako, who, despite his background in classical and contemporary music, had an awakening to free jazz and forged his own path by blending elements of jazz and contemporary music. Following his work "Klee," which was inspired by the paintings of Swiss artist Paul Klee released in the same year, this album also features solo performances entirely on acoustic piano. Tracks like A3, with its subtle melodies reminiscent of the rustling of trees, and B1, which incorporates natural sounds such as the sound of waves and birdsong, evoke homage to Erik Satie's "Gymnopedies." True to its title, this album creates an immensely beautiful world of lyrical sound. Highly recommended.
