This is a quartet album released in 1981 by pianist Don Pullen, a close collaborator with saxophonist George Adams, who has left numerous masterpieces such as "Paradise Space Shuttle" from 1979 and "Sound Suggestions" released on ECM, as well as contributing to many great works ranging from spiritual jazz to soul jazz. Pullen has also recorded numerous iconic sessions with musicians like Albert Ayler and Charles Mingus. The album features Cameron Brown on bass and Dannie Richmond on drums. It delivers a consistent performance showcasing smooth post-bop, contemporary jazz, and the quintessence of aggressive avant-garde jazz. Track B2, with its soft yet soulful groove, is characteristic of Adams. The album benefits from digital recording and DMM cutting, allowing listeners to enjoy the clear sound characteristic of this era.
