This leader album, released in 1974 by Tsuyoshi Yamamoto from Three Blind Mice, marks the debut of the Japanese pianist who started his professional career at 19 in 1967 and later gained recognition both domestically and internationally. The trio consists of Isoo Fukui (bass) and Tetsujiro Ohara (drums). The album features the title track A1, an elegant and soulful rendition of Erroll Garner's classic, an original blues-jazz piece by Yamamoto with a light and lively groove on A2, and A3, composed by Jerome Kern and widely known for being sung by Billie Holiday, among other standard numbers. While Yamamoto's piano playing stands out, Fukui's bass performance is particularly notable. This is an original pressing, but it is missing the obi and booklet.
