One of Japan's foremost contemporary musicians, Yuji Takahashi, who studied under Ianinis Xenakis, has been active at the forefront of contemporary music since the early 1970s, and was a major influence on a lot of artists. The album consists of variations on Sergio Ortega's "The Indomitable People" with lyrics by Quilapayun, arranged by Yuji Takahashi himself, "Songs of Solidarity" with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht, composed by Hanns Eisler, and an arrangement of the Italian labor song "Sosei Renmin" (Encourage the People). The whole piece is a cry of the body and soul that makes us feel the struggle through the music of Yuji Takahashi, who has written many books including "Fighting Music". Beautiful copy includes obi and booklet.
