sleeve : EX- (some parts are slightly faded)
media : EX+/EX (some parts have a slight noise)
This album was released in 1973 from the Explorer Series by Nonesuch, an American label that releases a wide range of music from classical/contemporary to ethnic music. Features nature sounds recorded in the jungles, grasslands and woodlands of Africa. It was produced to raise funds for the East African Wildlife Society. It contains 12 different sounds of African animals such as leopards, monkeys, hyraxes, rhinoceroses, zebras, lions, and hyenas. The periodic calls of a herd of gnus sound like a chorus, while the calls of elephants and hippos sound like noise music. Produced by High Fidelity Productions in Nairobi and mastered by Sterling Sound, the sound is very realistic and effective as a SE.
