A virtuoso guitarist from São Paulo, Brazil, Andre Geraissati began his career in the late 1970s, performing alongside numerous MPB artists including Egberto Gismonti and Eduardo Agni, and leaving behind remarkable works as a member of the guitar trio D’Alma with Ulisses Rocha and Rui Saleme. This double solo album, released in 1987, is dedicated to guitarist Marco Antonio Araujo, known for his outstanding progressive compositions. Featuring interpretations of works by Araujo as well as covers of pieces by Nana Vasconcelos and Paulinho Nogueira, the album showcases deeply lyrical acoustic guitar music throughout, delivered with extraordinary technique reminiscent of Michael Hedges. An absolute masterpiece—highly, highly recommended.
