A Kraut-jazz-rock group, Embryo, developed a unique style of rock by traveling through Third World countries such as Africa and India, interacting with local musicians, and extensively absorbing folk music. Their outstanding second album, originally released in 1971, showcases this distinctive approach. In addition to Edgar Hofmann (soprano sax, violin, percussion), Hansi Fischer (flute, percussion, vocals), and Christian Burchard (drums, piano, vocals), this album marks the first appearance of Roman Bunka on bass.

Highlights include Track A2, where a wild rhythm section is layered with psychedelic phrases from a Leslie-treated piano and an earthy flute, creating an incredibly cool groove. Meanwhile, Track A3 features a soprano saxophone building up over ethnic percussion rhythms, delivering an intense and mesmerizing experience. This masterpiece aggressively unfolds Embryo’s signature blend of ethnic flavors with psychedelic jazz-rock throughout. This was released in Japan in 1982 as part of King Records' European Rock Collection 2200 series.
