This is a self-produced album released in 1988, containing live recordings from a concert given in 1987 at Asahikawa City Cultural Hall by synthesizer player Gasyu Nagae, head priest of Tennyeji Temple of the Honganji School of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. Under the title of "Synthesizer Suite KARUNA [Compassion] - Vol. 1, Natural Movement: Dig the Bottom of Life, You’ll Find the Mother Sea", Nagae performed a magnificent oriental new age piece based on Buddhist teachings, using several digital synthesizers including the Roland D-50, and featuring recitations. The progressive sound production is in the vein of the Far East Family Band, including Kitaro, Tomio Miyashita and Sho Itoh, with a hint of Pink Floyd. There are moments that catch the ear. The message of the readings is heavy.
