This is the second album released in 1974 by German flute/saxophonist Ralf Nowy, whose "Colours," released on Palm Records in 1986, is known as a hidden masterpiece of European bossa. The album includes A2 with its primitive conga and kalimba sounds and lighthearted lyrics, and B1, which is close to 18 minutes long and merrily builds up to an endlessly cheerful atmosphere. This is an early masterpiece of acoustic psychedelic music under the influence of the Flower Movement, which absorbed folk, country, and Caribbean music. Good times.
