This is an album released in 1961 featuring historical masterpieces by Robert Johnson, a legendary singer of country blues. This Japanese edition was released in 1981 on CBS/Sony's <Treasures of Classic Jazz> series. The recordings were made between 1936 and 1937, and include classic songs such as "Crossroads Blues," "Come on in My Kitchen," and "Rambling on My Mind," which are still loved as classics in the American blues/rock scene today. This is the quintessential Delta Blues that reveals the black community and their identity as Africans in America after the emancipation of slavery.
