Windblown Music (US) 1974
WSD 5729 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW, WC, WD, SPSE: some damage on side, wear on edge and corner, dirts, wrinkle.)
media : EX-/EX-(some light noises caused by slightly wear and hairlines.)

Formed in 1971 and active until 1976, Taykug was a group centered around Jewish composer and multi-instrumentalist David Burger, a New York native who also had a background in songwriting for Richie Havens. This self-titled album, released in 1974, is their only known work. It came out on a label called Windblown Music, which has no other known releases—suggesting it was likely self-produced. Blending folk, country, jazz, and R&B into a pastoral soundscape, the album features lyrics sung in Hebrew. It stands as a rare and remarkable example of Jewish folk music born out of hippie culture under the influence of Woodstock—an unusual gem not easily encountered.
