This masterpiece, released in 1978, features unreleased tracks recorded by the renowned Greek composer/synthesist Vangelis Papathanassiou during his time in London in 1971. Vangelis, who gained prominence with the psychedelic rock group Aphrodite's Child alongside Demis Roussos, needs no introduction to his solo career. The title track on side A is a 15-minute intense psychedelic narrative, deviating from the harmonic synthesizer sound commonly associated with Vangelis. Instead, it captivates with indigenous percussion beats incorporating elements of Greek traditional music, acoustic guitar, pulsating bass, and heavily distorted fuzz guitar, creating a unique blend reminiscent of Aphrodite's Child. The composition unfolds with an immersive psychedelic panorama. Track B1 presents beautiful organic psychedelic ambient tones with acoustic resonances. B2 stands out with its speedy psychedelic jazz-rock, showcasing flawless execution throughout. This Japanese version was released in 1981 as part of the RVC's <Super Rock Heroes> series.
