Fredi Alberti was a member of the first album of Pan Ra, an ethnic music project expressing the music of the mysterious Atlantis continent, and the self-produced album "Klaenge Aus Dem" released in 1981 was featured in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION". This 7 inch single was released in 1990 by himself. Although he is probably little known worldwide, Fredi Alberti is a cellist who moved from psychedelic to experimental and artistic activities in the 1970s, and has been working with his wife, Rosi Alberti, a painter, on a project called Atelier Alberti, which includes installations and other projects. He is still involved in numerous artistic activities. In this work, he performs a solo cello performance on an electrified cello, playing rock and roll rhythms and improvising melodies reminiscent of folk music from some strange land. Archive copy is now in stock.
